Sri Kodanda Rama Temple
One of the major activities being carried out by CHENNURI FAMILY, Hyderabad is managing , maintaining and developing of Sri Kodanda Rama Devalayam in Chennuru village. As this small temple was originally constructed by the fore fathers of the Chennuri family and the family took up the responsibility of the managing the temple with the help, support of Puppala family from Chennuru village whose fore fathers were also involved in the construction of the temple some 100 years ago.
Since the Chennuri family members from Hyderabad started managing and maintaining Sri Kodanda Rama Devalyam in Chennuru, Pedana mandal, Krishna Dist, they developed some interaction with the villagers. Based on suggestions from the villagers of Chennuru regarding a Function hall facility for Chennuru and surrounding villages, the Chennuri Charitable Trust (CCT) undertook a project to develop a Bhajan Mandir/Kalyan Mandapam/Function Hall in Chennuru Village.
CCT identified a 31-cent piece of land in Chennuru village and donated some money with the condition that Mandir would be named after Sri Chennuri Pardha Saradhy and Smt Chennuri Sita Mahalakshmi. Sri Kodanda Rama Trust, Chennuru also stepped in and began developing the Facility for the benefit of Chennuru. Some 100-tipper load of mud was brought in and levelled the plot.
CCT Trustees Mr CV Subba Row- Mrs C Laxmi Row and Mr CVB Krishna performed the Bhumi Puja for the construction of the Bhajan Mandir in CHENNURU village on Thursday, 23 April 2026 at 8:06 a.m. (The auspicious muhurtham was given by pandits). It is a VERY HAPPY MOMENT for the TRUSTEEs that they are now working for the development of a village where their great-grandfather and grandfather lived and served. It is also very good facility with a self sustaining model.

With a view to develop the Temple further and also to take up other support activities in the village, Sri Kodanda Rama Trust was formed in 2022 and registered in Sub Registrar office, Koutharam Village , Pedana Mandal, Krishna District.
